As some of you may know, I am a Lock Haven University alumna. While browsing the LHUP website recently, I came across a very interesting online publication started by several professors and staff of the university. Edited by Bob Myers, chair of the English department, The Hemlock was started to help the Lock Haven University community "develop a deeper sense of place" and create environmental awareness. Although it's a bit specific to the university, I think the online newsletter is something all of us can benefit from reading. I contacted Bob Myers expressing my enthusiasm after reading the first few issues, and I'm going to try to make some contributions to it as part of the "alumni community." Our next meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the J.V. Brown Library (19 East Fourth Street, Williamsport) lower level Reading Room, which is located at the bottom of the stairs at the side entrance. Our meeting will end promptly at 8 p.m.
If you have something that you have written and would like members to critique, please bring 10-15 copies of no more than 4 pages.
A coffee machine is available near the meeting room ($1 per cup).
